Preface

As VisualKore's customers come from many different countries, the available payment methods are a crucial part of the customer experience. Currently Paypal is the preferred payment method for many VisualKore customers, as it is available in many countries, is easy to use, and charges no service fees to the buyer.

However, there are countries in which Paypal is not available or useful. For instance, Paypal is not available in Russia. Since recently Paypal is available in the Phillippines, but can only be used if the buyer has a credit card, which many Filipinos do not.

This leaves customers with two payment alternatives:

1. To use Western Union Money Transfer. Western Union Money Transfer is available almost everywhere and the customer can pay in cash. However, Western Union charges a service fee of about $15, so the customer has to pay the Western Union service fee and the VisualKore price. This is unacceptable to many customers.
2. To purchase From a distributor.

The job of a distributor is to make it easy for a specific group of people to purchase VisualKore, by providing payment methods that are easily available to that group.

This is how it works:

1. Become a distributor.
2. Tell us how your payment method works and provide us with payment instructions (which buyers read). We'll put it on the website.
3. Purchase a batch of VisualKore licenses from us.
4. Resells licenses to customers.
5. When all your licenses have been sold out, go to step 3.

Benefits

1. At least 15% discount on VisualKore licenses. This gives you the chance to make at least 15% profit off the sales.
   If you have to pay a service fee in order to pay us (for instance, in case you need to use Western Union or bank wire transfer) then more discount can be arranged.
2. You may charge whatever price you want for reselling licenses.
3. No need to provide support to customers (except payment-related) as that's our job. Your only job is to act as a payment gateway.
4. Feel good about being able to help people save money.
5. You will become part of the VisualKore/OpenKore staff.

Rules & requirements

1. We must be able to trust you. This is more important than all else. You must never scam customers (or anybody for that matter). If they paid you then you must give them a license.
2. You must be able to communicate in English. If you're reading this then you probably quality for this. :)
3. You must be easily contactable. That is, you must be able to respond to emails at least 4 times per week.
4. You must provide support to customers on issues related to your payment method. You can forward everything else to us.
5. We will list you on our website, but apart from that you're responsible for marketing your payment method to your target group.
6. Not a strict rule but it would be nice if you follow it: hang out on our IRC channel once in a while. It's a nice place to chat with users and the OpenKore/VisualKore staff.
7. You're mostly responsible for yourself. That is, you're responsible for keeping your computer secure so that people can't steal the licenses you bought (or other sensitive information). We're not accountable if you violate the law or get sued.

If you wish to become a distributor, then the first time you have to pay us in advance in order to receive a batch of VisualKore licenses. As you've worked longer with us and gained more experience, we may give you licenses in advance and allow you to pay later.
